This positioning stems from consistent forecast model ensembles, including the High-Resolution Rapid Refresh (HRRR) and Global Forecast System (GFS), showing a building mid-level ridge promoting mild advection after recent cooler days—April 10's high hit only 45°F amid lingering cloudiness. Slightly below the April 12 climatological normal of 58°F, the outlook benefits from light east-northeast winds and minimal precipitation risk. Realistic challenges include unexpected thickening clouds from an approaching shortwave or sharper cold air intrusion, though current soundings and model agreement suggest low probability before evening updates.
