Recent opinion polls released in the past week, including those from Poll Tracker and Agni News Service, project the incumbent DMK-led alliance securing a sweeping majority of over 180 seats in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election scheduled for April 23, bolstering trader consensus on its 74.5% implied probability. The ruling coalition benefits from strong incumbency under Chief Minister MK Stalin, stable alliances including Congress, and perceived effective governance amid the Model Code of Conduct. AIADMK-led NDA at 18.2% trails due to fragmented opposition vote shares, while actor Vijay's TVK (7.3%), contesting solo after rejecting alliances, emerges as a third force potentially splitting anti-DMK votes but lacking proven organizational depth to challenge the binary despite claims of 30% vote share. Upcoming candidate announcements and final campaigning could shift dynamics in this 234-seat contest.
