This market will resolve to "Yes" if the United States formally initiates a withdrawal from NATO or provides an official notice of denunciation to NATO by April 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated the option remains on the table but hinges on congressional approval, limited by a 2023 law co-sponsored by Sen. Marco Rubio requiring a two-thirds Senate supermajority or specific legislation. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte addressed concerns in a Washington speech amid reports of potential U.S. troop shifts from non-cooperative members. Legal barriers and institutional checks keep trader consensus probabilities low for exit before 2027, despite escalating foreign policy rhetoric.
